Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC is a leading market intermediary in the tea industry. Founded in 1998, the company is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Asia Siyaka is a licensed tea, rubber, and commodity broker, and is ranked among the top 4 tea brokers in the country in terms of both volume and value.
In addition to tea, Asia Siyaka also trades rubber and several other non-traditional commodities, such as spices and desiccated coconut. The company owns and manages the world’s only “Green” tea auction logistics center, which is Leeds certified. Asia Siyaka is the leading tea auction logistics provider in Sri Lanka, with a share in excess of 28% of all teas stored for the Colombo Tea Auction.
The company has also successfully diversified into commodity support areas, such as logistics, training, factory design, consulting on factory warehouse management, manufacture advice, tea reporting, and marketing. Asia Siyaka operates two fully owned subsidiaries, Asia Siyaka Warehousing (Pvt) Ltd and Siyaka Produce Brokers (Pvt) Ltd, which engage in warehousing operations and rubber broking businesses respectively.
Asia Siyaka believes that its competitive edge is its human resource, which consists of more than 113 employees. The company has a strong focus on employee safety and well-being, and has also placed tremendous importance in safeguarding the environment and reducing its carbon footprint. Asia Siyaka has implemented several initiatives to achieve these goals, such as extensive renewable energy usage, lower consumption of water, efficient and sustainable agriculture practices, and automated processes towards a paperless working space.
