Charmara Dissanayake is a highly accomplished and widely respected professional in the field of commodities trading and supply chain management. With an impressive academic background and extensive experience in the industry, he is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer at Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
Charmara completed his undergraduate studies in Plantations Management at the prestigious National Institute of Plantation Management in Sri Lanka. Building upon his strong foundation in the plantation sector, he pursued a Master’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom. This educational background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of managing complex supply chains, particularly in the context of the commodities industry.
In addition to his role at Asia Siyaka Commodities, Charmara also serves as a Consultant to the Asian Development Bank, providing his expertise in the development of the tea sector value chain in Sri Lanka. His deep knowledge and strategic insights have been instrumental in shaping the growth and sustainability of this important industry in the country.
Recognized for his expertise, Charmara is frequently sought after as an Honorary Resource Person by leading universities in Sri Lanka.
