Mr. Mohammed Himas

Mohomed Himas is an Auctioneer/Broker, Tea Taster, and Valuer with over 12 years of experience in the tea trade. He is an alumnus of Sylvester’s College Kandy, and his career in the tea industry began in December 2012 as a Management Trainee in the Tea Department of Bartleet Produce Marketing. After completing his training successfully, he was offered employment as an Executive in 2013, where he was entrusted with the responsibility of valuing, marketing, and selling High and Medium Region Teas.

In recognition of his excellent performance, he was promoted to the position of Senior Executive in 2016.In 2019, Himas joined Asia Commodities PLC as an Assistant Manager, where he managed a diverse range of teas, including High and Medium Regional Teas, Organic Green Teas, and Specialty Teas. His expertise in tea valuation and marketing has been instrumental in the company’s success. Himas’s dedication, hard work, and exceptional skills have earned him an enviable reputation in the tea industry.
