Mr. Praveen Weerasinghe is a renowned individual in the tea trade, with a wealth of experience spanning 15 years. He has established himself as a well-known tea valuer, taster, and public auctioneer in the Low Grown Tea category, earning high praise for his auctioning skills and his clear and efficient communication during the Out Cry Auctioning System, which endured for over a century in the history of Ceylon Tea before transitioning to a digital platform in 2020. Praveen began his career in the tea industry as a management trainee at Bartleet and Company Pvt Ltd in 2008, and subsequently joined Forbes and Walkers Pvt Ltd in 2009 as a Tea Executive.

In 2011, he was recruited as one of the youngest Tippy/Small Leaf sellers at Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
